Dear listeners,
While this host has served us well, I have chosen to take it to the next level. I will continue to feed this site through a widget, but I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment or subscribe to DeaconCast.Net, please click here
This episode features a fun new intro. We
also discuss the beginning of the Liturgy of the Eucharist in this
fourth installment of the Understanding the Mass Series
The premise of this series is that one can
discern an entire theology from the Sacramental Rites themselves. Moving
step-by-step through the rites we will extract our Catholic
understanding. Though easily accessible to anyone, this series is

In this 9th episode, we continue our
Understanding the Mass series by exploring the Liturgy of the Word. We
pick up where we left off in part 2 with the Gospel, homily and the
Prayers of the Faithful.

out of the norm for me. If you want to see the text, it can be found here.
I'll
also admit that I can't remember the last time I had so much fun
writing a homily. Of course, I started it last night when I was
functioning... Continue reading ...
